Friday
Let yourself unwind, at this award-winning country pub that sits on the banks of the River Churn near Cirencester. Named Gloucestershire dining pub of the year 2008 the food is excellent, featuring a wealth of tasty local produce.
In the evening you'll be met by Foot Trails co-founder Alison Howell, for a relaxing and enjoyable evening over dinner with your fellow guests.
Saturday
Yellow fields - Following a leisurely breakfast, our enjoyable paced walk brings you to the historic Colesbourne Park. Here you can admire the scent and colourful sight of hundreds of wild and native daffodils. Glorious! You will enjoy stunning views of the local countryside as well as historic villages. Lunch on route in a fabulous country pub. Return to relax before dinner.
Sunday
Easter day will begin with a leisurely breakfast featuring local produce. Today's walk, Roman March is a day to delight with rolling landscapes and opportunity to explore a 1700 year old Roman villa. The mosaic floor, bath house and remains are hailed as the country's finest and a fascinating place to explore. You'll pause for lunch at a traditional country pub before enjoying the afternoon's walk amongst beautiful countryside. There will be spectacular views.
You'll return to relax and refresh before enjoying a sociable dinner with your fellow guests in the character restaurant.
Monday
We close with a trail called A Tribal Fort, revealing exquisite villages, a celtic hill fort and former battle site. This is a scenic day out with plenty of interest. The celtic hill fort of Bagendon was was the principal tribal fort of the Dobunni tribe. You'll walk in their footsteps, hearing their fascinating story on route and enjoying the spectacular countryside views.
