Thank you for a wonderful walk through frozen Wiltshire! Here are a few pictures to recall it. Reaching the summit of Win Green as the sun dropped away and our shadows lengthened was pure magic! The inn provided a cheering warmth and great meals. We feel strengthened for whatever the New Year will bring.

Your 2 night guided walking weekend begins Friday evening at 7.30 pm with a complimentary glass of wine. (Arrive earlier if you wish, a complimentary walk is available for the afternoon). Welcomed by Foot Trails founder Alison Howell, a relaxing evening start to your weekend by the fire, before dinner, will be a chance to meet your fellow guests and hear about your weekends walks.
Up the next day, bacon and fresh coffee? Then out on the trail with David your guide.
Inspiring walking filled with scenic views of countryside. Up to the
ridge the vistas stretch for miles across the Yeo valley. Explore a delightful ham stone Somerset village with
their gorgeous cottages and wander inside the rare 13th century church. Then to the hill fort of Cadbury,
which legend says was King Arthur's stronghold. Views from the top extend to Glastonbury Tor and over
the Somerset levels.
Sunday and another favourite! With far reaching views over the peaceful winter landscapes of ancient south
Somerset, and the stories and tales that accompany this piece of land. Onto Sherborne (Dorset), where the sight
of two castles dominates. We will catch the harmonious melodies of the festive carols at the abbey before
returning to your country inn to depart home, refreshed and ready for Christmas!
