Autumn is a fantastic time to be out in the countryside, and this relaxing weekend will enable you to see the best of nature's displays.

Explore the stunning Wiltshire and Dorset Borders where the scenery is sensational. These ancient landscapes boast 5000 years of human history seeing Neolithic man pass through here, centuries later highwaymen.

Setting off each day after a hearty breakfast, two refreshing days of gentle walking will reveal panoramas that extend over Dorset, Wiltshire and into Somerset. The peace and quiet is glorious as are the views over the surrounding downs.

Walk down the old coaching road, passing milestones to Salisbury. Arriving at Stourhead you are in for a treat. Wonderful landscapes filled with underwater grottos, temples and obelisks, beautiful autumn tress and flowers.

Late each afternoon you will return to enjoy a soak in your bath before spending a relaxing evening with dinner, perhaps by the fire. You will spend two nights in an atmospheric 17th century coaching inn which is full of character and creature comforts. There are just a couple of places available so book now.
