Snowdrop Ramble, The Cotswolds
The Itinerary

Friday

Arrive at your award-winning country inn, situated in a peaceful valley that lies mid-way between Roman Cirencester and Regency Cheltenham. This 17th century Cotswolds Life pub of the year offers spacious country style accommodation, a wonderful atmosphere and food that's a real treat. There are roaring log fires to warm your toes at the end of the day!

Foot Trails co-founder Alison Howell will welcome you in the evening and you'll enjoy dinner together with your fellow guests.

Saturday

Following a leisurely breakfast, you'll be ready to begin our 7.5 mile Snowdrop Ramble. Peaceful rural hamlets can be found along your route with pretty cottages to admire, and beautiful unspoilt countryside. At Colesbourne Park (entry included) be spellbound by the sumptuous display of Snowdrops and spring flowers, whilst you listen to fascinating stories of the surrounding area. A pub lunch by the fire on route is a lovely treat, and back to relax late afternoon before dinner in the pretty restaurant.

Sunday

Wake to a leisurely Sunday breakfast, followed by a gorgeous 5 mile February walk, called Paved with Gold. Discover the place where Dick Whittington grew up, before departing for London, where the streets were said to be paved with gold. Today will bring a combination of gorgeous countryside and fascinating stories, including the mystery of the Coldwell valley which has been inhabited for 5000 years.

Sunday lunch is an excellent way to conclude our Snowdrop weekend.
