The Weavers Tale - Cotswolds
The Itinerary

Arrive at your gorgeous country inn, a 17th century Cotswolds stone building in a village just outside of Stow on the Wold.

Enjoy a relaxing evening with Foot Trails owner Alison Howell as your host. Meet your fellow guests and enjoy a scrumptious dinner.

Day 2

After a leisurely breakfast, day 2 explores Ancient Stow on the Wold, at an enjoyable pace, followed by an atmospheric dusk time walk. Stunning views over Evenlode valley are to be enjoyed, then supper at a picturesque country inn and back by torchlight.

Day 3

Today reveals the meandering streams, bridges, mills and streams of the Slaughters. Plenty of ancient tales to discover and an enjoyable pub lunch on route.

Day 4

Today's trail is called The Odyn, and reveals inspiring views over the Wolds that characterise this region of the Cotswolds. Famous author Jane Austen visited many times one of the rectories here with some of the events imortalised in her writings. You'll discover some delightful Cotswolds villages and peaceful churches.

Day 5

Today you will explore the Valley of the Boar. You'll find the scale of the landscape here huge, as the perspective of the wolds opens out. You'll parallel then cross the Fosse way, an ancient Roman road and the first frontier of the Roman empire in England.

Day 6

Your final day, is rather special, as on route you'll encounter both stone age and bronze age standing stones, a true relic of Cotswolds prehistoric living. You'll also find delightful views on this walk and enjoy a pub lunch on route. A great way to end your holiday.
