The Secret Cotswolds
(self guided walking holiday)

Trail overview

Where? – Nr Cirencester, Gloucestershire
When? – 2010 dates available now

Rural Cotswolds villages lie sleepily on hillsides. The sound of water greets you ears at the watermill. Rustic charm oozes from limestone cottages where roses grow wildly around the doors and moss covered stone tiles crown the roofs. All is peaceful here - not a crowd in sight. Can you spot the iron-age hill fort. One of Europe's largest. Or the nature on the country estate where a passion for collecting bulbs and trees was indulged. Elegant snowdrops grace February by the thousand, and all year round there is an abundance of wildlife and nature to discover. Earthy trails lead through ancient woods where mighty Beech trees adorn the escarpment. Heaps of vivid colours to kick through in the autumn! You lean on the gate with a smile, as panoramic views fill your eyes. This is the secret Cotswolds.
