Land and Legend
The Itinerary - 2 or 3 nights

Arrive to an award-winning country inn near Sherborne, and begin your holiday with delicious complimentary home-made tea and cake!

On day 2, wake to peace and quiet, then enjoy a leisurely Somerset breakfast. An indulgent treat you can choose from freshly laid eggs, home-cured bacon, Somerset apple juice, cereal, fruit and toast.

Vale of Camelot Trail This flexible trail of either 4 miles, 6 miles or 10 miles can be enjoyed from the doors of your country inn. Follow in the footsteps of legendary King Arthur to enjoy spectacular countryside, the site of Arthur's reputed 5th century castle stronghold and views that extend to a distant Glastonbury Tor. You'll be able to stop at a country pub on route for lunch and return to relax before dinner after an exhilarating day.

Ancient Landscapes on day 3 is another flexible trail, of either 5 miles or 7 miles you can enjoy from the door. Your return journey by taxi is included in the price of the holiday. Today's walk begins with a short, steep climb, after which the route levels out to reward you with spectacular views over the Yeo valley and onto the country town of Sherborne. In Sherborne itself your trail guides you to two castles, and you can explore the wonderful abbey, boutique shops and tea rooms!
