Foot Trails StoryOur guide, David Howell has gained trust and respect for his work from both his guests and the travel industry. He has been described as a story teller, a walker and an explorer - but his passion for rural England and the wonderfully varied walking routes he creates bring a sense of fun, adventure and discovery to those he meets. David's aim is to inspire you in rural England, using his expertise and local knowledge to show you little known places, unspoilt villages and the sort of gorgeous places that lie far from tourist tracks, the sort you might never find on your own. He researches and puts his own routes together, testing them out before taking guests to iron out anything that needs ironing out. David's guiding style is relaxed and informal, making his walks more like a story with little snippets and legends to listen too as you walk along. His walking is at an enjoyable pace where soaking up the scenery and views is possible. No route marching! David, aged 37, grew up in the Cotswolds and walked from a young age, when it was means to simply get around. His knowledge and expertise of rural South West England would be extremely hard to beat. He is a caring guide, who's first priority is always his guests. "Thank you, Alison. We enjoyed our trip immensely. David really went above and beyond all expectations and was so nice." "Dear Alison and David,
Both Audna and I can't thank you enough for organizing such a wonderful trip. We really enjoyed every minute. The walking was so refreshing and David paced us with care so it was just enough every day. The pubs for lunch were fun and very appropriate. "Dear David and Alison (and Louise Dear): |
