Foot Trails new 3 night walking holiday on the Wiltshire and Somerset borders has it all, luxurious bedrooms, Champagne, crisp winters walks and fabulous celebrations. Just 2 places are now available in this party of 10.
On our new year's eve walk the 360 degree panoramas from Cold Kitchen hill are nothing short of breath-taking. This area was both an ancient Neolithic and Celtic site, cold kitchen meaning hill of the wizard in celtic times. (A few interesting tales from David our guide about this place!)
We descend into a beautiful thatched Wiltshire village inn where hot soup awaits in a lovely country hotel....... Back to our inn through Longleat forest with plenty of time to don your glad rags and freshen up before New Year! Black tie is optional and always great fun.
This holiday is inclusive of all meals and some wine and drinks too, so is excellent value. Your celebrations begin with a glass of Champagne and pre-dinner canapes, and then a relaxed dinner party style evening with fabulous bangers and mash from the local Stourhead estate, (half bottle wine per person included). Pudding, then coffee, and for those with the energy some strictly style ballroom dancing, or sit and watch and chat... As we count in the new year... It's an walking break with a glamorous edge, and the local food and drink are excellent.
