Hidden Cotswolds
The Itinerary - 6 nights

Arrive and settle into your first country inn, an award-winning Cotswolds stone pub on the banks of the River churn.

Following a leisurely Cotswolds breakfast next morning set off on your first trail, The Dobunni Trail. You'll enjoy the beautiful Churn valley. Soak up timeless scenes over rolling countryside interspersed with unspoiled villages of Cotswold stone. The celtic people settled here and there is a rich history with many stories to discover.

On day three you'll enjoy a trail called The Roman Mosaic. Follow in the footsteps of the Romans to enjoy baths, pillars and shrines. The latter part of your walk explores wool country, and you'll arrive at your second country inn, situated in a small village.

Day four brings The Valley of the Boar. Discover the Cathedral of the Cotswolds and a Neolithic settlement site. Crossing the Fosse way, an ancient Roman road you'll meet tranquil valleys punctuated by rolling wolds, a delightful and scenic walk.

Day five is called Any Tom, Dick or Harry, in tribute to the legendary men of same name who hid here! This will be a gorgeous day discovering Bourton on the water with its streams and beautiful houses. At Bleddington village you'll discover the place where troops gathered on the eve of the battle of Stow in 1643. Your trail will lead to your third inn, a 17th century Cotswolds stone haven.

Day six, following a leisurely breakfast brings Georgian grandeur with Jane Austen inspired houses and one of England's grandest Jacobean houses.
